Are you looking for a review about the DIY Home Energy System from a real customer? Or are you wondering what exactly the DIY Home Energy System is? …or what’s included and what results you can have with it? Etc…
Well, I have been getting a lot of great questions from people interested in the DIY Home Energy System since I started using it and writing about my great progress and results so far (in my newsletter and on EZgreenEnergy.com) …so I figured I would write a full post/review about it now and address some of these questions.

First, let me start this review by stating that I actually use the DIY Home Energy System and I have been using it for a while now …so I am quite familiar with it.
So let’s get to it!
What is the DIY Home Energy System?
The DIY Home Energy System is a step-by-step course that teaches people how to lower their energy bills and become more energy independent and self-sufficient by producing their own power at home with professional quality solar panels as well as professional quality, residential wind turbines (They are also including several other resources/tools/bonuses right now …but I’ll get to that later).
Some of the main benefits of using their system are:
- You can make and use their solar panels (and wind turbines) for a tiny fraction of the cost of what it would cost you to buy a comparable retail System (more about this later in the review).
- Their course is step-by-step and very easy to follow so anyone can use it.
- You can lower your energy bills and become more energy independent (you can actually start experiencing energy savings literally 1-2 hours after you begin using their System).
- You can control your own independent power source (at home) without having to be reliant on a big energy company or our country’s aging power grid.
- You’ll become more self-reliant and self-sufficient.
- You will be prepared for any type of future power crisis
- And you can be protected against future power rate increases because if you produce your own (free) power at home; a power rate increase won’t affect you (because your power is still free)!
What are the Cons?

I think some people think they can just snap their fingers, wave a magic wand in the air and they’re done! But in reality there is a little work you’ll have to do. Not much and it’s certainly not hard, expensive, or time consuming. But you will have to spend a little time actually watching their videos and going through their course.
They really don’t leave any guess work though. You just watch the step-by-step videos, use their step-by-step guides (with the videos) and you’ll be able to have a DIY Home Energy System up and running in very little time.
….But I didn’t say NO time because creating your first solar panel will take about an hour or two. And then when you want to scale up your System and produce more power, you simply repeat and follow their scaling up instructions until you get the energy output you want.

Another thing is, if you are very experienced with solar panels already you may not need to watch some of their introduction videos because you will probably already know some of this information.
In these introduction videos they really go into great depth to make sure everyone really understands all of the basic concepts so everyone is comfortable moving on to the next step. However, if you don’t know the first thing about solar panels right or don’t know much (like me before I started using their System) then you will love all of this step-by-step information because it will answer all of the question you have and it makes it very easy to understand and follow.
Why use their course instead of buying a retail system:
When I first got the DIY Home Energy System I priced out how much it would cost me to buy a retail solar panel system and then have it installed by a “professional”. I then used the “Solar, Wind, & Battery Bank sizing calculator” included with the DIY Home Energy System and plugged in my desired energy output and found that it would cost me about 1/11th of the cost to use the DIY Home Energy System instead of buying a comparable system from a retailer. And after building and using my DIY Home Energy System I have found that these calculation are correct.
With their System, I can confidently say that you will have a professional quality solar panel system up and running for a tiny fraction of the cost of what those same solar panels (and wind turbines) would have cost you if you purchased them from a solar panel retailer.
Who can use the DIY Home Energy System? Is it hard to do?

This system really is for anyone who wants to lower their energy bills and/or become more energy independent. Everything they show you how to do is quick, inexpensive, and very easy to do. I’m pretty confident that even my young daughter (who knows nothing about solar energy or building) could follow their program and build her own home (free) energy system.
What’s included with their course?
The course includes several bonuses right now with a limited time promotion they’re running. All in all, here’s what’s included:
—————————————————
1st) 3+ hours of step-by-step video footage showing you how to build and use they’re professional quality solar panels (the videos are also very professionally filmed and are actually in HD),
2nd) 20+ step-by-step complimentary guides that go along with the videos,
3rd) The full wind turbine program,
4th) Their exclusive Solar, Wind, and Battery Bank Sizing Calculator (that I previously mentioned),
5th) The D.I.Y. Home Energy, Advanced Power Savings guide,
6th) Lifetime Premium Support,
7th) Lifetime Premium updates,
8th) The D.I.Y. Home Energy, Solar Heater and Oven guide,
9th) And their “Iron Clad – 60 Day, 100% Satisfaction, Money Back Guarantee”
—————————————————
Furthermore, their course is broken up into 20+ step-by-step lessons. Each lesson includes an original video tutorial, 1-3 guides that go with the video, and additional resources when applicable.
By the end of the course, you will have a working solar panel system like I do – as well as a wind turbine and solar oven (if you choose to use these too).

Their course then goes over how to use the DIY Home Energy System, scale it up, and use it within different alternative energy applications. This basically allows you to use the System how you want …and it shows you how to scale up to get your desired results.
Since I have been using the DIY Home Energy System I have also noticed that they actively update their course and add new tools and resources pretty frequently to help with people’s most FAQ’s and as free added bonuses.
Jeff Davis and his team are also really friendly and helpful. Jeff actually sent me a personal email after I joined. He’s a great guy and very nice.
How is the quality of their solar panels?
The DIY Home Energy solar panels are 100% professional quality. In fact, I’d say my solar panel system is higher quality and will last longer than most of those cheap “retail” solar panels sold today. If you look into what actually makes up those overpriced “retail” solar panels; it’s pretty much all cheap parts from China. But the DIY Home Energy System’s solar panels are all made up of new grade-A parts (and yet, the DIY Home Energy’s solar panels are 11x less expensive than those “retail” ones).
Conclusion:
I purchased the DIY Home Energy System when it was $99.97 (but currently they have it on sale for a 1-time payment of just $47) …but I still consider the price I paid an incredible deal. I easily made up my investment the 1st month with my energy savings …and my savings grow every month. If I could do it all over again I would re-buy their System in a second (especially for the deal they’re running right now).
The DIY Home Energy System has allowed me and my family to lower our energy bills significantly and become much more energy independent.

Their program is very easy to follow because it has step-by-step videos and guides for each step of the building process. And I can honestly say that if you know how to use a screwdriver to tighten a screw; you can use their system to produce free power at your home (because that’s about the hardest thing you have to do to follow their System).
So if you’re someone who wants to:
- Lower your energy bills,
- Become more energy independent,
- You want professional quality solar panels (and a wind turbine) for a fraction of the price of a “retail” system,
- And you want to be in control of your own independent power source at home so you aren’t affected by future energy price increases, the power grid going down, etc.
…then I’d highly recommend using the DIY Home Energy System (especially for the limited time price they’re offering + all of those bonuses they’re giving away right now).
I can tell you from experience that it works, it’s a quality product that clearly took them a lot of time to create and perfect, and Jeff Davis and his team are great.
If you haven’t watched their presentation yet; you can view it here.
But if you’ve already seen their presentation and you want to take advantage of the limited time deal they have going right now (that includes the whole DIY Home Energy System plus everything I listed in the “What’s included with their course” section above) for a 1-time payment of $47 you can get it here.

I’ve been using the DIY Home Energy System for about a week now. Really like it and easy to follow. I have 2 solar panels already.
Good review, thanks. My husband and I just started using the DIY Home Energy System and we love it so far. I had a quick question for Jeff Davis after we got their System and he literally emailed me back (personally) within about 10 minutes!

I was told to be truly powere independent you need lots of batteries and good ones aren’t cheap, do they cover batteris and sources for them??
Thanks
Fred
Great question! Yes, they do. Additionally, you can learn how to recondition batteries so you can use old batteries instead of buying new expensive batteries. If you learn proper battery maintenance and reconditioning, your batteries will also last a lot longer. Here’s where you can learn more about this topic if you’re interested: https://ezbatteryreconditioning.com/video
My friend just told me about it too. He said similar things to what you said in the review. I’m going to give this a try too.
Sounds like a program I am interested in. Have to go toCleveland for two weeks and am sure I will order when I return
I assume you are USA? I live in New Zealand…
…I am considering alternative home energy generation. We can connect home power systems to the grid and get paid for excess power. .. Our power system is 240 volts. Not 120 like the US one.
Hi Brian, Yep you are correct. I am from the USA. And that’s great you are interested in the producing your own alternative energy at home.
If you do end up connecting to the grid and producing excessive power with your home energy system; it will be a very nice role reversal where the energy company actually pays you for power! It’s definitely a great feeling.
Also, it’s perfectly fine that your power system is 240 volts. The DIY Home Energy System goes over this and their System works perfectly with a 240 volt power system too. You’ll just need a slight tweak in your set-up (and they go over what you need to do).
How many solar panels can you build with their system?
Hi Taylor,
Great question. Their System is highly customizable and it’s not a 1-size fits all approach (which is good).
Basically, solar panels have the great characteristic of being very “scalable”…
So let’s say you want to start small, start lowering your energy bill, and then scale up over time to lower your energy bill even more…
The DIY Home Energy System is perfect for this because you can build a few solar panels just like they show you, begin using them and experiencing the great benefits – then when you’re ready to lower your energy bills by even more; build a few more solar panels and connect them in with the other solar panels you already have. And you can continue to “scale up” in this manner over time.
This is one of the really nice benefits of being in control of your own power source and not having to rely on a solar panel retailer to do all of this for you. Because besides that fact that it’s really expensive to purchase pre-fabricated solar panels – it’s also really expensive to have them install it for you…
…And if you would want to start with a smaller System and then scale up later – that means you’d have to pay additional installation fees each time you want to scale up…
This is not the case with the DIY Home Energy System though! You can start small and scale up at your leisure. Or if you want to create a large System right off the bat – that’s fine too. The DIY Home Energy System shows you how to do all of this and they also give you a really neat Solar, Wind, and Battery Bank sizing calculator that shows you exactly how many solar panels you need to reach your desired results.
So if you want to lower your energy bills this month by say 25% without too much effort …they show you how to do this. But if you want to create a larger System and nearly eliminate your bill …they show you how to do this too. It’s up to you! 🙂
I am very interested in solar energy. I see all the reviews telling me making my solar panels are less expensive. How about connecting to batteries or the town grid. I am very new to the process. Will the DIY Home Energy System explain this process. My first reason to go solar is for my swimming pool pump. Thank-you for any information.
Great question. Yes, they show you how to connect into many different applications. They will show you how to use their system in grid-tied setups and also off-grid setups. I hope that helps! 🙂
Thank you. This answered a few of my questions about DIY Home Energy. I just got the program and it looks great so far!
HI,
Does this kit work in stand alone solar systems or is it only for connecting to the power grid? ALso if connected to the power grid, what happens if the Grid goes down, we also end up with no power, am I right?
Thannks
Paul
Hi Paul! Great question. The DIY Home Energy shows you how to setup the system several different ways. You can do everything from creating a small backup system that’s off-grid to creating a larger system that’s scaled up, then connecting that larger system into your home system. Regarding the grid down scenario you ask about, you may be most interested in their backup solar generator setup …or even their larger off-grid setup. These are both totally independent from the grid and will provide you power in a grid down situation (and they show you how to create both of these in their program).
I love the DIY Home Energy System. I’ve been using for over a year now.
where do you get the materials from to make the solar panels? I believe that they will be easy to assemble, but do I go to Home Depot or Lowes??
Yes, you can get many of the materials at both locations. The DIY Home Energy System shows you exactly where to get everything and even points you to some online wholesalers where you can get great deals if you’re interested. I hope that helps! Best of luck if you use their program. 🙂
$47. Seems like a really great deal for this program. How expensive are the parts to make the solar panels?
Hi Bill, Great question. If budget is a concern, the DIY Home Energy program actually shows how to build a budget solar panel too. So you can either build their main solar panel or their budget solar panel. The budget solar panel can be made for less than $100. The top of the line solar panel they show how to build will be a little more than that though. I’ve built and used both solar panels and they’re both fantastic.
I hope that helps! Have a great day.

I live in an area that is prone to destructive hail storms. Can the panels be made hail proof?
Hi Daniel, great question! The DIY Home Energy program actually shows how to make an extremely strong solar panel (much stronger than the cheap Chinese panels flooding the market right now). The solar panel has tempered glass as well which is very strong. If there is any solar panel that could withstand a hail storm, I’d think it’s the DIY Home Energy solar panel. Great question! I hope that helps.

The idea of solar energy really intrigues me, however I am a bit hesitant to take the plunge. I am in Canada and I am wondering if it would be hard to acquire the parts needed. Could you still power your house somewhere that doesn’t see sun for much of the year? I also live in an apartment, are the solar panels small enough I could put it on a balcony?
Thanks!
Hi Sarah, really great questions! I believe all of the parts can found in Canada. I actually just checked a few of the sources they recommend and they do ship to Canada (and many other countries too – like the USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, + many more). And yes, you can definitely still use the system if you don’t get a lot of Sun. Of course the more Sun you have the better but the system will also work on cloudy days. They’ll also show you how to use a battery bank so you can store excess power and use that power at night or on stormy days with no Sun.
Additionally, the DIY Home Energy System shows you how to use the system if you’re in an apartment! They show you how to create both a mobile or “apartment setup” and either of these should work great for you! I hope that helps.
Best Regards,
Joe
Can this system be used in the UK?
Thank you
Tina
Yes it can! You just have to make a few small tweaks to the system and it works perfectly. The DIY Home Energy system teaches you what small tweaks to make if you’re in the UK, so you shouldn’t have a problem. I hope that helps!
What about roof installations. Lots of rain here in Florida. Will these installations be leak proof. Will the void the warranty on a new roof etc.
Hi Leo, thanks for your question. The installation will not create leaks. Additionally, the DIY Home Energy System shows several different ways to setup the solar panel system. It shows you how to install them on your roof …OR how to create ground racks and install them there …OR how to even create a smaller portable unit. So there’s a configuration or setup that should work for you.
I hope that helps!
Are these systems and parts to build the solar panels also available in South Africa?
Hi Francois, great question! Yes, they are available in South Africa. 🙂
Hi Joe – is it possible to build a complete, stand alone, off-grid power system in the U.S. with this program? Thanks!
Hi Marilyn, great question. Yes, it’s definitely possible with DIY Home Energy. They teach you how to scale and create the size system you need, including a standalone off-grid system.
